Elevating MSP websites with content
Plexa’s story began with Paul Charnock and Steve Pailing. Paul and Steve were driven by a shared mission to bridge the gap between MSPs’ technical expertise and the creative support they were lacking. They built Plexa to give MSPs great websites that would help them engage with clients more effectively.
In 2021, Plexa decided to move forward with expanding their services, partnering with WordHound to serve up a truly comprehensive digital package. Angela and Paul spent time whipping up a diverse set of them for Plexa to offer their clients, and together, we’ve now launched 21 MSP websites (and counting!). Each has been crafted with care, and designed to help businesses really stand out.
The Plexa team has since expanded, welcoming Emily Marshall, who brings her expert knowledge in end-to-end builds.

We’re not only providing content for Plexa’s clients. We’ve also written for the Plexa website itself, making sure their own digital presence matches the high standards they set for their clients. And we’ve been known to work on some super special side projects, too, such as Paul’s very own ProGolf Marketing.
Paul is something of a golfing expert, and helps clubs step up their online presence through PGM. He gives them the tools to engage with existing and new members more effectively, helping to grow the game.
Plexa’s 16-week website build process
The secret to Plexa’s success is the 16-week process they’ve developed for website creation. This step-by-step roadmap takes clients right the way through from the initial concept phase to a fully launched website.
WordHound jumps in around week 4 – after the wireframes are ready – when content needs to align with the design. Angela books a call with the client to discuss all the site content specifics, acting as an extension of the Plexa team. The WordHound writing team are primed and ready to refine any existing copy, create fresh new content from scratch, and ensure everything fits together seamlessly.
While WordHound are responsible for all content planning and creation, once it’s all approved – typically by week 7 – we hand everything over to Plexa. They upload it and, where necessary, transform some of it into beautifully designed downloadables. If their client has ordered regular blogs and newsletters – always a wise move – we’ll have created a content plan and delivery schedule for these.
At this point, the site can move into the final stages of development before being tested and launched.
A collaboration that goes beyond business
We’re really proud of the work we do with Plexa, but we’re perhaps even more proud of the strong relationship we’ve built beyond the business side of things. Angela and Steve share a love of sailing, and can often be found talking tides in between calls. And later this year, Angela will join the Plexa team for the Cumbrian Challenge, an annual fundraising event supporting ex-military affected by mental health issues, unemployment or homelessness.
